As a member of generation Z, we were quickly taught to specialize. Don’t try to be good at baseball and swimming, choose a sport. You like history and computer science? Choose a major. Interested in the piano, and the violin, and the tuba? Choose a lane. It is better to be phenomenal at one thing than good at many.

 

I understand the value in that, I just don’t see the joy in it. I like to forage, tinker with electronics, ferment food and brew mead.
